Most likely a person is going to invest in stocks or maybe overthrow the corporate government institutions which opress them and only allow people to stay in their current status. it is an important detail that you may need to pay attention to you.

In todays world spacecraft have a very big flaw that can not be overcome due to it being that as you add weight you need more fuel and then you need more fuel for that fuel and so on. In Science Fiction usually you would not focus on the fuel and how the ships fly but it is a good idea to develop such knowledge to ensure if need be there can be some back story which may create new ideas.
